Ok, so this is a new site with lots of work to be done. Some stuff is intuitive, some isn't. If you are having ANY problems with it or just have some cool ideas about what we should add/change, p
So I am prettyyy excited about a few things...but before I do what I always do (jinx it and not follow through)...I thought I would share this. I saw it on CNN and I wonder what is more impressive...the scene on the beach in Atonement (one take, no edits)...or this which was done by students of the University of Quebec..in one take:
This is a special day for Patrick. Third Eye Blind's new album opened at #1 on iTunes, beating out the likes of George Strait, Kings of Leon, and the Fray. Tears of joy will be streaming down the big guy's face tonight for sure.
Yes the time of this blog is accurate, I am up at 7:15am. All week Pat and I have been getting up at this ungodly hour to crush it at the gym. I'd like to say I'm growing accustomed to my alarm going off at 6:45....but not yet. It's a good routine to keep up. Wish us luck!
I’m on the train heading East to NYC from Rochester with Johnny sleeping in sweats to my left. Things have been progressing lately, for the positive. I see my eyes opening to my surroundings. I am starting to have a lot to say about a lot of things. I am remembering what it was like, years ago, to communicate without self induced censoring. You just can’t hold back. When you feel like may
Things are good here friends. In preparation for last Friday night's show in Rochester we decided to get some practices in and record them. In an attempt to spark the purpose and nature of this site, we have posted a few of the brand new songs from this practice...with the rest to follow. You can get
Hi everybody!
We're back in Rochester for a show on Friday, August 7th at Montage Music Hall, 50 Chestnut st. Please come out and hang with us for a powerful set-- we've got new songs and we'll rock out some classics. And...we've got a secret surprise for the night
I am out here in East Hampton, enjoying the sun and doing some writing. Like the last weekend I was here, I have really enjoyed running through the winding roads that cut through the woods. It actually reminds me of the campground we stayed at during the Touch of Class tour, Wompatuck, but with multi-million dollar homes.
Im excited to see Our Lady Peace tonight at the Fillmore (Irving Plaza, not the Fillmore Hotel)
Seems like those post-grundge bands that I adore are making a surge. 3EB, Better than Ezra, OLP...
Check out this short clip of Danny Carey (the drummer for Tool) layin' down a little sauce. As someone commented under the video: "Danny Carey is the Viking God of drums." I tend to agree. And no Pat, you are not a viking god yet....maybe someday.

I'd like to thank everyone who came and rocked out with us at Illusions...I apologize to anyone who suffered PNFMS (or post-navar face melting syndrome). There will surely be more victims in the coming months.
We're finally firing on all cylinders friends and need you all now more than ever. We're taking it to the next level...Let's get fired up.

Lately, I've been struggling with the idea of home-- feeling torn between leaving places and never feeling completely settled. Everything's temporary. Like John Fogerty, I've got a travelin' bone. Over the past few weeks I've spent time mixing it up with the people I love, getting into it, rocking out, and making many new friends.
This is the beginning of a new era friends. No looking back. No slowin' down. You in?

So even though I am postive that at some point in my career as a musician I am going to have a run in with Mr. Stephan Jenkins. I love 3eb and they were one of the first and most influencial bands I got into back in the late nineties (High School) and really threw me into songwriting...but my thoughts on SJ are bittersweet. I will say though that opening for them in 2003 "Within Arms Reach" tour is one of my favorite memories and a huge milestone in my music career. Maybe when I finish the song "Stephan Jenkins is an Asshole" you will understand.
Anyway, I missed their performance for GMA in Bryant Park this morning because of my show and rehearsals this weekend up here in western NY...but you can catch what they played here:
I am just about finished with posting all the NAVAR studio tracks from our 4 full length albums and 2003 EP. Demos, rare cuts and live tracks on the way. Benny is on but yet to blog. The other sleds will be on too once they find time to fit it into their busy schedules.
Show tomorrow night in Hornell, can't wait. Miss this...miss y'all. It's all about the music.
Expect old shit.
